Applying to High School [Grades 9 - 12]
We are delighted that you’ve chosen to apply to Mid-Pacific Institute. There are nuances in the application process at different grade levels. We’ve tried to make them easy to follow for you and your child. At any time you have questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
Priority Application Deadlines
The priority deadline of December 1 has expired. Applications will still be accepted for consideration.
9th - 12th Applications are being accepted for the 2010/2011 School Year.
Grades 6-12: Postmarked by December 1, 2009.
Teacher references and supplemental information due by January 31, 2010.
How to Apply
There are several ways for you to apply to Mid-Pacific Institute:

Admissions Checklist
- Submit completed application to the Office of Admissions with the $75 Application Fee (non-refundable). See below for mailing address.
- After December 1, 2009, provide TWO teachers with the Teacher Reference Report.
- Download the Teacher Reference Report forms below.
Grades 2-12 HAIS Teacher Reference Report 
- Sign the Teacher Reference Report before forwarding it to your teacher.
- Provide the teacher with a stamped envelope addressed to:

- Forms must be received directly from teachers by January 31, 2010.
- Submit completed Reference Report for Administrator form to the applicant's current school so they may forward appropriate transcripts and standardized test results (include summer school courses for credit.) Download the Reference Report for Administrators

Required Testing
- Apply for the appropriate required tests. Have the results forwarded to Mid-Pacific by the test centers.
- Applicants to grades 6-11: SSAT (Secondary School Admissions Test), MPI Code:5080
- Applicants to grade 12: SAT, MPI Code: 4521
- English as a Second Language applicants for grades 7-9: SLEP (Secondary Language English Proficiency test)
- Can be taken on campus by appointment.
- $100 US test fee includes the SLEP, an interview and writing sample.
- Applicants to grades 10-12 whose predominant language is other than English: TOEFL (Test of English as a Second Language), MPI Code: 4521 or SAT for grade 12 applicants. MPI Code: 4521
