Middle School Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Are there clubs available for Middle School students?

    Clubs are dependent on availability of faculty advisors and student interest. A few examples of clubs available for Middle School students include Art, Christian, Service, and Robotics. Students also have the opportunity to start new clubs if they can gather student interest and find a faculty member who is interested in becoming their club advisory.

  2. Does the Middle School have an after school care program?

    Middle School students have the opportunity to enroll in a variety of extended learning courses for an additional fee. For more information, click here.

  3. What is the procedure to call in an absence or early dismissal from school?

    Parents are asked to contact our Attendance Desk at 808-973-5025 by 8:00am for each day that a student is absent from school. For students who need to leave school before dismissal, parents can either email or call their Grade Level Dean or the Middle School Office for a campus pass.

  4. What is the Middle School Vacation/Planned Absences policy?

    Families are highly encouraged to plan vacations during school breaks. Parents must contact their Grade Level Dean if extended absence occurs when school is in session. Students are asked to complete their assignments, including tests/quizzes/projects, prior to their absence.

  5. What sports are available for Middle School students?

    Sixth graders can participate in the Christian School Athletic League (CSAL). Opportunities include volleyball and basketball for separate boys and girls teams. Students in the 7th and 8th Grades can participate in ILH Sports. Specific information can be found on our school’s website under the “Athletics” tab.

  6. Does the Middle School have a dress code policy?

    Yes, the Middle School has a dress code policy. Students can purchase their Mid-Pacific uniform polo shirts online from Land’s End. More specific information can be found in our Middle School Handbook located here.
