Parent Relations Coordinator, full-time. Mid-Pacific seeks a Parent Relations Coordinator. Under the leadership of the Vice President of Institutional Advancement (VPIA), the Parent Relations Coordinator will design, execute and implement a strategic plan for long term development of Mid-Pacific Institute's relations with parents, collaborating closely with the VPIA, school principals, officers and members of the Nā 'Ohana Pueo, the school's parent association.

Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college; experience in volunteer management; excellent written and verbal communication skills; outstanding organizational skills with a strong attention to detail; team player with the ability to gain trust and confidence with colleagues and constituents from diverse cultural backgrounds; self-directed and motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment while producing high quality work in a timely manner; provide management and organizational abilities to plan and independently execute projects/tasks within specific deadlines, and while exercising good judgment successfully assess, balance and prioritize numerous competing concerns; demonstrated substantial experience in successfully coordinating and overseeing large-scale campus-wide events; ability to represent the Office of Institutional Advancement to senior leaders or Mid-Pacific, prospective students, their parents, and the community.

Landscape Maintenance, full-time, to begin immediately. Working under the general supervision of the Landscape Services Supervisor. Responsible for general care and maintenance of school grounds, trees and landscaped areas. Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends, as necessary.

Operates all hand and power tools associated with landscape maintenance; operate all types of equipment associated with landscape maintenance including production mowers, wood chippers, farm tractors, backhoes, and loaders; apply fertilizers, pesticides herbicides and other products associated with landscape maintenance; prune trees, shrubs and hedges; prepare soil for planting of plants, turf and trees; install and repair irrigation systems, control clocks and automatic control valves; identify and report any problems with the grounds that may impact the safety of students, staff or faculty; perform basic vehicle and equipment repairs. Additional duties include: Assist Facilities Department in set-up and clean-up of tables, chairs, tents, etc. for school functions, provide labor services to move furniture, fixtures, and equipment; perform any duties required to support the operation and function of the School.

Qualifications: Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record; able to carry and transport heavy items (up to 75 pounds); able to accurately follow verbal and written instructions; have a service oriented attitude and is able to work well with faculty, staff and the general public; professional, clean cut appearance that represents the school.

Night Custodian, full-time, to begin immediately. Working under the supervision of the Custodial Services Supervisor and/or Night Shift Supervisor. Perform duties and routine manual labor necessary to keep campus facilities in a clean, orderly and healthy condition. Must be able to work nights, flexible hours and weekends, as necessary.

Sweep, vacuum, mop, strip, wax and polish floors as necessary; clean sinks, toilets, drinking fountains and shower stalls with appropriate cleaning materials and correct cleaning methods; dust furniture, doors and windowsills; clean walls and windows; collect refuse from designated areas and dispose of; remove graffiti from assigned areas as needed; report safety concerns and maintenance needs to supervisor; report equipment malfunctions to supervisor and follow up as necessary; clean off-campus facilities used by Mid-Pacific as needed.

Qualifications: Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record; able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds; have knowledge of standard methods, materials, tools and equipment used in janitorial care; able to read and understand labels and instructions of cleaning materials and supplies; able to perform simple mathematics calculations; excellent verbal and writing skills; have a service oriented attitude and is able to work well with faculty, staff and the general public.

Security Officers, Part-time (less than 20 hours per week) and on-call, flexible shifts including days, nights, overnights and weekends, to begin immediately. The Security Officer maintains a safe environment for students, employees, and visitors. Additionally, he/she assists students, employees and visitors with security concerns or incidents. The Security Officer is the first Mid-Pacific employee that the public comes into contact with for entrance onto campus and/or to seek information.

Qualifications and Experience: High School diploma and prefer experience working with middle and high school students. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, conduct campus foot patrols and interact cordially with the public. Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, professional approach and appearance, and the ability to apply good judgment in the performance of duties. Must clear the drug screening, physical, and fingerprint/background check requirements, and have a valid driver's license.

Athletic Opportunities

Mid-Pacific is seeking an assistant air riflery coach for the 2017-2018 school year, for both the sporter and precision air riflery seasons. Preference will be given to applicants that have air riflery coaching experience, air riflery competitive experience or general experience in the instruction of the use of riflery equipment. Any coaching certifications from the National Rifle Association/Civilian Marksmanship Program/USA Shooting is a plus.
