The Sixth Annual M Club Athletic Hall of Fame Gala at the Pacific Beach Hotel Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, was a success with more than 512 friends of MPI Athletics in attendance. It is estimated that the evening netted the MPI Athletic Department nearly $100,000.

The featured speaker was UCLA football offensive coordinator Norm Chow. Guests enjoyed a fine dinner and browsed among 200 items at the silent auction.

The M Club has been the secret to our program's success since it was re-established in 2005.  As well as being a major contributor to the Miyawaki endowed scholarship, the M Club's support has allowed the athletic department to address some of its most urgent needs.

Over the past five years, the M Club has helped to raise close to $450,000 to support the MPI Athletics Program.  Some of the projects we were able to realize in 2008-09, thanks to the M Club and its generous supporters, include a new MPI Athletic Department truck, scoreboard for the softball field, resurfacing of tennis courts, new fence for the center tennis court, ankle braces, Speed & Quickness Clinic, summer weight room supervision, 2008-09 Varsity Athlete t-shirts, and partial funding of the softball batting cage, which was primarily sponsored and built by our dedicated softball parents and supporters.
