Congratulations to Mid-Pacific Institute Team 2932: Pueo Engineering, which won first and second in Oahu East Vex Competition.
The Oahu East Vex robotics competition was held on November 11, 2009. There were 36 teams from around the state of Hawaii competing in this competition, which was a qualifier for the VEX Robotics Competition World Championship.
Mid-Pacific Institute entered two teams (A&B) in this competition. The morning consisted of four round-robin competitions. Team "A" had a record of 4-0, team "B" had a record of 2-2
Both teams were selected in alliance partnerships for the afternoon's quarterfinal round. Both teams advanced from quarterfinals or semifinals, and from semi finals into the finals, on opposing alliances. In the finals, the alliance of Mid-Pacific Institute B, McKinley, and Farrington high school defeated the alliance of Mid-Pacific Institute A, McKinley, and Kaiser. That means that Mid-Pacific Institute B qualified for the VEX Robotics Competition World Championship April 22-24 in Dallas, Texas.
